Kudos and Criticism [Mailbox]

by Ambrosia Software Users
This section features reader responses to Ambrosia's software and service. We will include the good with the bad, and address any problems brought to our attention. These are real people, writing real letters about real issues. Feel free to drop us a line.

"I love your stuff. Keep up the good work! You are the only shareware company I know of that lets users register using credit cards. <sigh> If only more companies would allow this, they would find at least one user paying a lot more shareware fees."
-- Johann Unger

Thanks for your registration. We feel obligated to make it as easy as possible for you to register. It is very difficult for shareware developers to obtain the merchant account needed to process credit card orders. There are strict guidelines that have to be met. The bank wants to make sure that you are a business in good standing, so accepting credit cards is a plus when dealing with any business. Currently Ambrosia only accepts Master Card and Visa, we have not had a lot of demand for others.

"I am a math teacher and I use Maelstrom to teach the concept of a two dimensional torus (the space in which the spacecraft lives is a 2-torus)"
-- Gerry Doerksen

Thank you for your registration. We are glad that some of what we do has some educational value. Actually, you have taught me something as well, The only Taurus I knew of was a four door from Ford.

"If this software (ColorSwitch) has been upgraded for System 7.5, please send me the newest version. "
-- Kazuo Tanaka, Japan

All of our currently supported software is compatible with System 7.5. Actually, 7.5 is what we are running in the office. But do not worry, if we make any significant changes we will alert all of the registered users and let them know where to find it.

"So goodies decrease in number until you register...slick"
-- G. M. G.

Nope. Not true. The appearance of goodies (and nasties) in Maelstrom is completely random. If you are experiencing a shortage of goodies you may want to check your horoscope.

"This game (Maelstrom) is the reason I upgraded my SE/30 to color!"
-- M. L.

Now, that is a vote of confidence. We are glad you like it. Wait until you try Apeiron.
