Rochester, NY Friday, Sept. 1, 1995 Today Ambrosia Software, publisher of award winning Macintosh software, announced the start of the official High Score Contest for its thunder from down under arcade game Swoop.
Your mother always said you'd never make any money sitting on your butt playing video games well, she was wrong. Ambrosia Software will give $300 to the registered Swoop user with the highest score. Running until December 1st 1995, the Swoop High Score Contest is the perfect opportunity to buy dear old mom a fruit cake for Christmas, and still have cash left over. Second and third prize winners will have an extra $100 and $50, respectively, for their holiday shopping. The top fifty Swoop bug zappers receive a way cool official Ambrosia Software Swoop t-shirt.
Developed by Dave Wareing, Ambrosias Swoop has left a path of defunct keyboards, tired CPUs, and blown speakers in its wake since its April release. Now registered users are able to cash in on all of their practice.
Current contest front runners will be announced in each issue of Inside Mac Games and The Ambrosia Times. Deadline for entry is December 1st 1995, and winners will be announced in the January issues of The Ambrosia Times and Inside Mac Games. All entries and high score codes must be sent to Ambrosia Software. To enter you must be a registered user of Swoop, and have the newly released Swoop version 1.0.1 (older versions will not generate a high score code). Swoop version 1.0.1 is available at Ambrosias forums on America Online, eWorld, CompuServe and GEnie as well as your favorite online watering hole. For more information about the High Score Contest, or on how to obtain a trial version of Swoop, contact Ambrosia Software.
