It is very likely that I won't be able to make the suggested date/time of Sunday Jan. 27, 19:00 UTC. The saturday before that, the 26th, might work.

Also, tuesdays from around 23:00 UTC on are good generally.

However, it won't be a big deal if I miss the races.

No weekdays for me. Nearly impossible.
Saturdays are a bit more awkward for me, but doable.
And how about Sunday the 3rd?

On a separate note:
sad.gif Josch has pm-ed me his withdrawal from the RLL (and Redline for that matter). He left a goodbye in German, which is being translated by Tomte and will be posted in this topic later on.

dj: when his goodbye note is posted, can you add to the topic title the words: "and farewell from Josch"
(or whatever you find appropriate)

Weirdness. It's like there's a trend or something with session 1 always causing somebody to quit. The Curse of RRL? blink.gif

Sorry for chiming in, but Josch send Brook a farewell message, which Brook asked me to translate:

Josch said:

QUOTE
Hi guys,

until several months ago, it was always a pleasure to play Multiplayer SIM games in Redline. That changed significantly with the activities of certain players in Redline. It is mainly the negative approach and tone, including offensive language of these players, which I don't want to be exposed to any longer.
These players lack the basic understanding of regard and respect of other people's dignity, which should be common with civilised people. I'm unable to judge if these players are hyperactive and/or ill bred children or over-enthusiastic people, who try to cover up their own deficits in character. In the end, I don't care.

For the above mentioned reasons I will cease my Redline activities immediately. I'm very sorry that I have to make this such a fundamental decision, especially in the middle of the RRL. I was really looking forward to the RRL, but I could not influence the timing of my decision.

I thank every player around 'our blue marble', who acted fair and decent towards me. I always tried to be a fair and decent player and I hope you had the same impression.

Have a good time

gtg, bye
Josch

If anybody is interested in the original text, let me know.

--------------------
Yours truly,

Tomte

excuse the barging in on the topic and thread yet i must voice a couple things. josch don't leave because of someones ignorance and their actions. it would be a mistake in my eyes, not to mention a detriment to the community as a whole with your absence. secondly, if you wish to have fun and clean races, you may always join my host ... for you know how i deal with such morons, and others like me that keep the games simple and more importantly .... FUN. either way ... best of luck josch, yet i hope you reconsider bud mellow.gif

This is such a shame. I understand your position josch, but the lack of maturity by a select few, shouldn't ruin the fun times we have as a group

Best advice, is to take a breather, a break from rl for a bit, and come back soon. Has been my experience that the "kids" have a tendency to get bored of the game and find other things to occupy their time.

I'm certain I know whom you are speaking of, and i can assure you the rumblings internally are there as well......

Hope to see you back soon bud...take care.

The reason I proposed Saturday is because Andreu can't do Sunday. I can do Saturday or Sunday, but no later than 19:00 on Sunday. Can we decide this asap please.

So what do the rest of you think of the proposed times tomorrow the 26th?
I guess 12.00 UTC is a bit well early for Andreu. 24.30 might be a little late for some of you. Still, this session could be finished quite quickly, so it won't be that late.

Of course we could just wait till the next weekend (5-6 feb), but we don't know if we'll just face the same problems again then.

At the moment, tieni and Vicent are the most awkward.
When tieni gets his new shifts, it can't possibly be more worse than now. Andreu could be better in his time also (and he isn't very responsive at the moment...) next weekend.

I can do both Saturdays 12:00-22:00 utc and both Sundays 12:00-19:00utc.
If it would break a stalemate, I'm willing to stretch Saturday past midnight, but that usually means a heavy lack of concentration.

Round in circles we go...

Proposed race date and time:
Sunday, January 27, 19:00 UTC.

The only person who is not available at the date and time (who has announced it) as Andreu. I think Saturday 26 is too short notice now. If you cannot make Sunday 27 please reply to this post as soon as possible!

Right...I'll try to be clear

I cannot Saturday and Sunday after 13:00 UTC (races finished) and before 24:00 UTC

Anyway, no worries if it's a big problem, go head.

I'll try to catch you up the next session... unsure.gif

No shifts for next week yet, cause who makes the rota, works Mon-Fri 9 to 5 and doesn't give a f¨©k...sorry to vent dry.gif

Good Luck to you if I'll miss. smile.gif
