Hello group 4, I apparently drew the short straw and will be session leader for this round of fun and frustration ! wink.gif

This is who we are racing:

SeeFlat (UTC -5)
Tomte (UTC +1)
20 finger (UTC -0)
MaxDamage (UTC +1)
amped (UTC -5)
Joe Chip (UTC +1)

I see that democratically speaking... amped and I wont have much clout in deciding race time!

Races:

Race 8
Track: Mountainside (REVERSE)
Weather: Sunset
No of Laps: 7
Car Class: C25
(Mazda RX-8, Porsche 911 SC 3.0, Porsche 550A Spyder, Ferrari 308 GTB, Honda S2000)

Race 9
Track: Snow Track
Weather: Snow
No of Laps: 8
Car Class: FE
(Clio Sport 172, BMW 2002, Audi TT, Mini, Golf)

Race 10
Track: Corniche des Crètes STRICT
Weather: Daylight
No of Laps: 4
Car Class: E20
(Mini Cooper 1275S (racing), Alfa Romeo 147, Volvo 240, Mini Cooper 1275S, VW Golf Rabbit GTi, DeLorean, Saturn SL)

Organization:
Please make sure you have all the right plug-ins. Tomte and I experienced some crashing before the start of our fist session and it turned out to be playes with mismatching plugs. It is strongly recommended to remove all plugs (place them temporarily in other location) and only leave the conveniently collected needed redplugs for this session in the fridge @ http://legacyoflies.com/rrl/W2007/Session3.htm

Hosting:
I propose I host. In session 1 my host went without a glitch, and I served as necessary back up on session 2, also with no glitches. However, since there are 4 of you on the other side of the pond, this might not be a sure thing, Let me know if you think you would be a better primary host or if you wish to offer your services as secondary host. (I do have a really fast machine dual G5 tower, and a great wired internet cable connection than can host 8 well)

Racing:
We have 2 weeks to complete the session, the deadline is Monday, February 18, 08:00 UTC.
I propose these times, Day and time seemed pretty good on my last two sessions, just try and determine the date:

Sunday 10th February between 18:00 and 22:00 UTC
Sunday 17th February between 18:00 and 22:00 UTC

Looking forward to hearing from you....Cheers!

I'm fine with both times, in general, but I prefer to race later during the day. So 22:00UTC is no problem for me.
I could be the backup host as in session 1. But this time I don't need to do the talking!

Looking forward to race against/with you guys!

Before everyone else chimes in with all times are fine smile.gif

I've never been good on these tracks so.... I would have a preference for the second date, (17th ), this would give me time to practice.
Also, the 18:00 and 22:00 UTC time was a preferred window for me. I should have written 1800 TO 2200. I work at night and must be finished by 2200.

I'm starting to sense that we might again win the relief of being first group organized!!! wink.gif

Ok after reading previous posts and with Joe approving proposal, it's official.

Race Set for: Sunday February 17th at 1800 UTC

I'll PM everyone with the confirmations. If anything should change, make sure to let me know ASAP.

Cheers,

SF

i wanted to asked you guys if we can do all races in daylight. That would help to avoid some fps issues. There are no rain races so there won't be much change, but mountainside track won't look that romantic wink.gif

Hi,

I'm not sure if I can make it this weekend. Actually, I'm not sure if I can continue in the RRL at all. I have a high workload atm and I don't see my partner that often, so I'd like to spend some time with her while she's in the country.
I will still try to be there, though (I can still earn some 3 points just by hanging around...) smile.gif

SF will post the results in a bit....but it was a great session....very gentlemanly of all participants and no little boy drama.

We did lose joe chip (he withdrew) due to connection problems on his end. We suggested a new host, but he declined and said it was his connection that had been wonky for a few days. I think all in our session are going to ask if he can at least get last places points for showing up.

20 fingers secured the coveted first position in all races. bravo to him!

We had a great session, and ton's of fun.

I thought we never got a chance to offer the backup host option that he dropped again before we did that and he never came back. Boy I have a bad memory. smile.gif

I have made an official request to the RRL that Joe be awarded last place in the three races as his gesture was totally unselfish and motivated by his wish for the rest of us to have a glitch free session. I hope no RRL participant will object to this, if this is approved.

I'll post results in next post.
