Sorry for the delay!

The hard drive failure that taught me the value of backups was a bit more deep rooted than I thought. As a result I now have a new 160Gb drive in the mini and a shiny new putty knife to install it with. blink.gif

So on with business, this topic is to organise Group 1 for the Session 4 races. The people involved are....

• Valentin K
• Donaemous
• Pastrl
• Charlie T. Brown
• slowDan
• 20 fingers
• Renesis
• leoantix

The races are...

Mt.Panorama & Whitehill.

Agreed time

I'm going to go right ahead and guess that this weekend is no good (unless someone comes up with good reason for wanting to do it at such short notice). So that gives us the 1st & 2nd of March or the 8th & 9th of March. The agreed time is....

Saturday 8th March 2000 UTC

Post your objections and/or agreements below. tongue.gif

Good luck to all of you, this should be a blast!

I'm going to go right ahead and guess that this weekend is no good (unless someone comes up with good reason for wanting to do it at such short notice). So that gives us the 1st & 2nd of March or the 8th & 9th of March. My most favourite so far is....

Saturday 8th March 1800 UTC

Post your objections and/or agreements below. tongue.gif

Cause they are 2 races, we can play one race at weekeend. One this first weekend and the next one the weekend after.

I am available both at 1800 UTC wink.gif

Weekends 1st/2nd and 8th/9th is both okay for me, but pleeeeeeeaseeee later than 18 UTC, I'm a nightowl, as later as better for me... 20 UTC would be perfetto!

I hope this session is causing not such doubtful things as last one did... mellow.gif

PS: Already now can be said, Mt. Panorama wont work with sunset, we'll end in a laggy mess again....

Pastage all! wink.gif

20,00/20,30 UTC is perfect for me too (and better then 18,00). I prefer not play at 19,00, cause is dinner time in italy, and last session, with Valentin K, the "the great_uber_waster time ever", we cannot finish in time to get a calm dinner. dry.gif

LOL, don't mess up an Italian's dinner time, they're touchy there... laugh.gif

I agree, Val, please check out your settings before, in manner that it works properly then. On common MP races you normaly have no problems either, why then?

Sounds good to me.

@don: polyheavy cars at corniche.....I must try until it's a bit acceptable, this meant all but resolution to minimum. I wasn't sure how much to turn down. And I think the 2 slight hits I received in final chicaine were a fair payback and made the finish nicely close wink.gif So once more: Sorry sad.gif

@pas: big FPS trouble round whitehill yesterday, happens often sadly

It's not our fault if your computer can't run well the game. wink.gif

Also, you had 2 weeks to check your system. I can understand you are not used to play tourney or similar. Usually, there is a meeting time (about 30 minutes before the match start) in which all players doing all stuffs to play official matches. At start time, they all join the server (host in redline) and doing a little test of the server (host) and connection (the 2 laps with did before starting). All players MUST be on server at starting time and get ready to play.

Last session we spent 120 minutes to play all 3 tracks! Consider less then 10 minutes for track... no words blink.gif

We can certainly do later, 2000 would work for me too.

Good point, can we get everyone's opinion on this? A little testing wouldn't hurt to make sure we are all happy.

I'm sure he will be managing a few more tests before the big day this time! wink.gif

So how about splitting the session? In some ways I like to get it all done at once. But it does depend on how I do in the first race. tongue.gif

I just tried MT on sunset. The track become lag here too. But what is worst, is the lens flare... sad.gif

Looks like the weekend after the one we're in now is out for me, underway possibly, and all that jazz. The following weekend(s?) should be just fine however.

Hi everyone!

It's an honor to be with you in the first group, even though I'm here just because I have been lucky!
So I'm pretty afraid I'll look you from behind this time. wink.gif

That doesn't mean I'm not fierce! mad.gif

Anyway, not a good start for me...I reckon I will have to work both of the weekends.
I only hope in the timing, cause I don't know it yet. If I'll have evening shift (4pm-11pm UTC) I'll be out. dry.gif

Crossed 20 fingers for me now.

My f¨ç˚^~g manager will give me the rota not before Thursday 28th.

I'll let you know.

P.S. now that my blood is not boiling yet... GOOD LUCK GUYS!!! smile.gif

Well it looks like we won't be able to organise a super fast race this time. I guess we'll wait until next week before we finalise anything.

Make sure to keep us updated as soon as you know anything new, obviously that goes for everyone. wink.gif

March 10 is fine with me. pleaase do not run sunset on major long length courses as it will cause prolonged lagging and other such issues.

I am available sunday @ 1pm due to church and wife's breakfast obligations.

please do not hesitate to hit me back if that time does not concur with the other racers schedules.

Another big problem for me is the FPS when Valentin shoots the smiles... sad.gif

I tried already to pull down the graphic settings, but my mac really doesn't like 'em.

Suggestion???

I'll remove them for the session and replace em with "normal" text-typed smilies if you want me to wink.gif

My personal FPS problem are maybe the cars and/or the track for the Whitehill race, my FPS never climb above 30 (if I see noone, so this only CAN happen at start).
FPS rate goes down to 7 partly, even with everything turned down to the minimum. The quality changes don't seem to affect my FPS sad.gif , yet they make me slower because I feel I cannot drive the way I usually do with good graphical quality
Tested with Stratos HF & 7 AI using em as well
Suggestions on this?

Ok, this is something to work on. I guess it means you are free from 1700 onwards?

How does it suit everyone else? Renesis and Leoantix are my two main worries, it seems everyone else should be ok with that day. Again let me know if not! Can everyone shout at CTB if they see him please, because I'm going to change the proposed date to:

1st March, time to be confirmed (preferably around 2000 UTC)

Edit: @ tieni. Just noticed, you put Sunday 1st March, but of course Saturday is 1st! Can you confirm which you meant? Thanks!

Yes, I'm free from 17 onwards and.... ahhh... stupid calendar with Sunday as first day of the week...

Who starts the week with Sunday??? dry.gif

I meant Sunday 2nd, cause I always have run on Sunday, but it should be fine also on Saturday.

Maybe tomorrow I'll get the shifts...I'll let you know.

See you on the asphalt!!!
