What's an effective way to kill wolves?
The Thought Police
Flamethrower and/or Grenade Launcher.
Anaxagoras
Um, what're wolves?
Divals the Conqueror
They're like dogs but less doggy. blink.gif

I just use my Tempered Broadsword (8-16 damage, +5% Critical), but if there is a lot of the wolves I'd just use Sweep (at level five).

If someone knows what I'm talking about, I'll...uh...respect them.
Aben Zin
Dress bears up in red-hooded cloaks.

Eji1700
They're not very strong creeps so usually you can solo them around lvl 6.
kitkut
Contact the Canadian ranchers and tell them your whole stock's been eaten by wolves. Tell them it's time to get the pitchforks and torches. Sit back and relax while the howling slowly ebbs.
Percy
Take your blue-eyed, red clawed, spiney green scaled dragon and put a saber-mod on him and use the poke-ball enhancer....

I dunno. More info? Like the game you are playing?

Dude, no way. You need a Lightning gun and the quad damage!

So far these are my two favorite responses. Not that I have any understanding of what he's talking about either. But I'm choosing on purely the most amusing and creative responses, without being absurd (like Percinator).

Yeah, yeah. I was being sarcastic... Absurdly. biggrin.gif
Lord Rama
You need a hammer. And pop tarts. Lots of pop tarts...
Mispeled
I snipe them.

Well, Medal of Honor actually has Nazi German shepherds, but hey, it's the same thing.
floop
Kill them with a berkut eagle.
CJM2
Construct a trap consisting of a slab of meat suspended over a boiling lake of lava.

Oh yes, those wolfies fall right in... And cook nicely...
Eji1700
Sneak up on the first one and break his spine. When the other comes running throw your knife at him. Quickly run up to his dead corpse and remove the knife so you can counter the 3rd wolf and cut him before also lodging the knife in his skull. Problem solved.
Rickton
Oh...yeah, that's probably the game he's talking about.

What if there's 4? And what if they have body armor?

You must be playing in complete wuss mode if you're trying to kill a wolf with a thrown knife...

It's crouch, stand, hit, dodge, hit, get him while he's in the air, get him as he comes up, rinse, repeat.
Sneaking up on wolves is also evil... but if you get it right you can heavy impact them.
kitkut
Does a kung-fu wabbit come into play here...?
Eji1700
Seeing as how the original poster has disappeared anyone here know about the progress of the second Lugaru?
Croikle
A lot of fancy (and maybe unnecessary) stuff is being done on the engine. The Wolfire blog has some details, along with occasional updates.

Hm, maybe I should buy Lugaru. The demo was fun, to say the least.
kinman91
You said you heard something about Lugaru 2?

There's going to be one. They're remaking the engine and are trying to expand alot. Hopefully they won't have too many features and ruin the gameplay.
God 2.0
I'd perform my standing close B,C -> Double Reppuken combo. And then if it's still standing, finish off with a Deadly Rave and pursuit attack. Just watch out for any breakshot attacks.
mrxak
I was sooo gonna make a Lugaru comment (rabbit kick), but apparently that's the correct game...

So, I'm going to say that I'd do about 3 or 4 sinister strikes and an eviscerate.
kinman91
What computer will it need to run?

Take a look around here. These forums have all the info on it.

I totally went on a major Lugaru-playing binge last night because of this topic. I'm planning on a repeat performance again today smile.gif.
God 2.0
What is this "Lugaru" thingy?
mrxak
The greatest killer bunny game you've ever not played yet because you are ignorant of its awesome.

Today I pulled off not one but two successful Ninja Bonuses (where you jump, flip, and throw your knife, hitting an enemy) in a row.

I have to say though, the best move of all time is the Tracheotomy.

What? No opener?

Personally, I just Frostbolt times 2 or three, Frost Nova, back up and use Flamestrike to bake 'em nice an' crispy like.

Wolf steak tastes pretty good.

OH MY GOSH I JUST REALIZED THAT I KNOW WHAT LUGARU IS!!! Sweet! Aren't you the white rabbit and all the brown rabbits try to kill you? (and vice versa)

Ambush is for suckers. I'd do a cheap shot, if anything. Besides, I use a sword mainhand to maximize my damage.

Truth me told though, I've canceled my account and won't be playing WoW much longer. Guild collapsed and everyone I know in real life that played has stopped playing.

Well, there's wolves and other colors of rabbits, but yeah, basically smile.gif.

Noooo... The Azeroth-related remark I was going to make is completely unoriginal now.

The question, mrxak, is: Did you simply unsubscribe, or did you permanently delete your account?

Is there a difference? I would like to put my account on halt for a while, then perhaps start playing again at a later time, but I don't know if this is possible.

Yes, at least, there used to be. If you just unsubscribe, you can resubscribe at any time and all of your characters will still be there. If you cancel your account completely, everything is gone. Chances are, if you just unsubscribe, the game is going to suck you back in at some point in the future--a year in my case.
mrxak
I unsubscribed, didn't delete anything. I let my account expire once before and my characters were still intact when I came back. Since I played for a significant length of time, I'd expect Blizzard to hang onto them for quite a while before purging. That way there's incentive to come back someday (for the expansion, in my case).

My macro mage (Zandalarian Hero Charm trinket, Presence of Mind, Arcane Power, Pyroblast) tends to manage to 1 shot most things... tongue.gif

As far as original Azerothian wolf killing techniques, I prefer;
  • Select Human campaign on Frozen Throne
  • Go to the third level
  • Build base with peasants
  • Contruct barracks
  • Create several guard footmen
  • Assign footmen to a team with Prince Kael
  • Approach wolf(ves)
  • Open up with a Flame Strike and then instruct all the units to attack
