I know we've had a proliferance of youtube topics on this forum so I was hesitant to post this topic, but I thought this news report from 1993 was actually quite interesting and I figured some of you would enjoy it as well. The sociologist in me finds it fascinating to look back at how people originally related to this technology and what they considered its potential to be. It makes me wonder which technology we have today that is still in its embryotic phase will become so influential in the future.

My favorite part was how they said everyone is really polite on the internet. My how things have changed.

Perhaps I just made up a word. Oops. What I was intending to do was use a derivative of prolific (which apparently doesn't exist) to communicate that there have been a lot topics made recently using youtube as a crutch for comedy.

I could have sworn it was a word, but am unable to find it in the dictionary on hand. It would appear that the correct word is "prolificness".

... What a lame word! I for one will continue to use proliferance. But is it proliferance, or proliference?

Here in Canada, nothing yet. Borders still count for something.

I know we've had a proliferance of youtube topics...

Perhaps protuberance?

How long before we can have the technology log on to the internet with our brains, thus creating artificial telepathy?
