Howdy all:

I am confused as to whether Snapz Pro X supports the movie capture of fast user switching in OS X 10.4.7.

I have seen sample videos posted by Andrew showing this feature, I have seen reviews mentioning this feature, and the manual mentions fast user switching in the context of the "Smoother video capture" setting.

But all I get is a black screen when I switch to another user and I have seen one post in the forums saying that this is expected behavior.

So, what gives?

Thanks,
Ryan

Hello-
When Fast User Switching was first introduced, it was possible to record the whole proces - begin the recording in one account, switch to a new user account, and then save the movie after switching back to the first account.

Clearly a major loophole in security! This has since been addressed in an update to the System. SP X can no longer record when in the second user's account.

Also, Snapz Pro X's latest version has a bug with Fast User Switching. I don't mean when we're recording it, but if I finish recording the video, ask the software to generate it for me, and then switch to another user, it seems that it's still working and it does work even when I come back moments later, but the video gets corrupted.
