Hi,

I downloaded and installed the latest version (2.0.3) of SnapzProX tonight. I have a 2.0ghz Macbook Pro 15.4".

I recorded a short file - about 3 minutes long and chose H264 as the encoding method. Whilst encoding, the preview showed exactly what I thought I had recorded, however, when I came to view the movie file, I had what can be best described as the first 3 frames of the video, and then nothing.

The filesize was all of 180kb, and what I started with was a 37MB capture.

Any ideas why this occured? For a first time test of SnapzProX, it didn't instill a sense of usefulness... blink.gif

Hi

I had the same problem using the same codec and hardware. As I understand it from the FAQs there's an unresolved bug in the H264 codec re key frames. I fixed it by going to video track settings and unchecking the key frame check box.

Nice way to treat a potential customer, I'm sure... blink.gif

Hello-
Sorry to have offended. I suppose it could have been phrased more delicately, but my assumption is your skin is thicker than all that.

I want to point to the answer to the question but at the same time point to the FAQs. If you have any further questions or problems, now you have a link to the best source of that info.

After all, that's why they're there!

And more importantly, by David linking to the FAQ instead of typing the response out by hand each time it's needed, there's no chance of missing a crucial step in a process or getting something slightly off. When you go to the FAQ, you get the answer every time.

Hello-
Good point Kepi!

That way there is a standard reply for every person with the problem.

I will work on my delivery though!
