I am having strange problem. When I capture "selection" from the screen, resulting image is "slightly" bigger then original (~20%). The only format which does not exhibit this problem is PDF, but if I capture in PDF and than trying to save result as PNG (using save as from Preview), resulting PNG file end up the very same 20% bigger.
I have attached two files to demonstrate the problem (PDF and PNG). PDF file is "straight" from Snapz Pro. PNG file produced by "save as" from Preview.

P.S. I am using 2.0.3 version on G5 2x2.5G box (it behaves the very same way on my Mac Book Pro)

Well, there is a Scale option in the window that appears when you are doing the actual selection. Maybe it is because you have the Scale above 100$?

In my case scale was 100%.

Hello-
This is an issue we are aware of and we're trying to determine where the problem lies.
Images captured by SP X are displayed improperly in OS X 10.4 in certain applications that use the same core technology for display, such as Preview and Safari. The same images look fine in other applications like GraphicConverter and QuickTime, and in any app when on a 10.3 or earlier machine.
Either there is a bug in SP X when creating those imags, in which case it's been there for quite some time but ony cropped up under OS X 10.4, or there is a problem with their decoding routines. We have logged the bug with Apple and we're waiting to see what they find.
Try opening those images in a different graphics program and let me know if the problem persists.
