I'm having trouble getting WTP to properly trim the silence at the end of a recording.
I use it to record a show that varies from 4-6 hours. It's delivered by Real Player.
I set it to trim two 'marks' but I don't think this is actually having an effect. Maybe I am missing something?
I come back to the office in the morning, and iTunes has a 8-12 hour recording to deal with, and then I have to manually trim, so it would be good to automate.

I have a couple of suggestions for you.
First, if you are not already, use either a scheduled session or a timed recording. Of course set it up to record the longest duration that the show could run. Second, set the recording to Trim Leading and Trailing Silence.
WireTap Pro only trims the last chunk of silence at the end of the recording, so if there is 1/2 hour of silence and then there is 10 seconds of loud audio, the silence will not be trimmed. Depending on the type of audio being played, you may want to increase the silence threshold.
A very useful piece of information, Dominic, thanks. I bet that is what is happening.
Now, I can start working on the next question, which will be another thread [only getting wiretap temp files].
Thanks again.
