Hi everyone! So I am a huge fan of the myst series, and i'm thinking about purchasing myst v. I just wanted to see if any of you have a new mac running intel, and this game perhaps. I would really like some feedback on how it runs.

That's all......

i couldn't get the demo to work on my imac...

The demo gets very poor performance on my MacBook Pro, and I don't know if a Universal Binary is in the works.

If you feel like installing WinXP on your MBP, though, it should run just great and thrillingly there.

Interesting. I was wondering if games would run good using windows. That is cool!

Sure – Boot Camp and a bona fide copy of XP SP2'll get you there. smile.gif

They sure do ^^

My thought would be yes given that all of the Myst games are cross-system compatible which means that the thing already runs on an Intel.

If you are planning on serious gaming, you need Windows. Mac is nice and all, but there really aren't very many games, and oftentimes they are crappily-done ports.

I have to agree on that.
I have a few games on my iMac, but I mostly use it for playing music.
My old Mac running 8.6 has a LOT of good games on it, most of which are Mac-only.

On topic, Myst 5 should run fine under Intel.
Heard that Myst 4 has problems, though.
