I am incredibly excited about that game. I am definitely going to get it as soon as it comes out!

I am excited to the point where, unless it is ported to Mac or console (possibly a nextgen that I will never get), I won't get to play it.

I really want to have Spore but alas I have Mac, so I hope I can beg my mother to allow me to get it for her PC.

While us Mac people might not get a chance to play Spore, I'm sure that games of the type will become more common in the years following Spore's development, and hopefully we might see some other titles for the Mac.

I own a Mac, which can't run it. I also own a PC, but it's probably not nearly fast enough to run it.

My god! That's amazing, I just watched a half hour presentation on it showing from the "pool" stage all the way upto blowing a planet up.

I wonder if you would eventually get WMD's in that game? If you progress through the ages, then surely that would be an option...

I think there is hope for it being ported to Mac because it was made by Maxis. I don't think they have given up totally on Macs.... I just checked the Maxis store and they have nothing about Mac games... I also just realized when you click on the "store" link on the Maxis homepage, it takes you to the EA store...

I've learned to loathe that company ever since they dismantled the kick-arse game developers that were Westwood Studios, the creators of the CnC Series.

Sorry. I felt I had to get that out.

I rather dislike EA since they bought the NFL license. I liked the ESPN football game better.

What do I think? I think that they'd better release it pretty darn soon, that's what I think.

Are you kidding me? I hated ESPN football. I feel that Madden is so much better.

I hear you man, I hear you. I'm also pissed because they failed with BF2142, and that game has so much promise.

Anyway, C&C3 is being developed by EA, but I think some of the people from Westwood are on the team.

Aspyr will probably port the Sims. It would be pretty dumb to not have a Mac port and miss out on the potential tens of millions they'd make.
