I was browsing Slashdot this morning, and came across this : a "games on demand" service called MyMacGames.
I'm not exactly sure what games they will release with, but the Slashdot article says that 100 developers have signed up. I expected a more "Xbox Live Arcade" type service than a Netflix for games, but who knows.
This probably means something good for mac games.

That depends if they sign up or not. 
Even so, I couldn't see them straying away from shareware to something relatively new (for them) like this.
EDIT: Wait, I just thought of this. Because of Ambrosia's business model, using shareware, there would be little to no change if they started a games on demand service. So, it would be pointless.
