I've found copies of Myth TFL and Myth II laying around, and decided to give them another go on the MacBook. I went to the ProjectMagma site, which appears to be the group that makes these games playable on OSX.

I got Myth II installed no problem, it's working great.

Myth TFL is working, but never really installed on my HD - I have to wait to have the map files copied over for each level. There's no "application" for Myth either - I play it through the Myth 1.5 updater - and never get a chance to install any of the files.

Any ideas or help with this? It would make the game a lot easier to play if I didn't have to wait 2 minutes for each map (and the first few levels only take about 5 minutes - maybe less - so that would definately be frustrating)

thanks for any help that you all can provide!

Have you tried to manually copy things from the CD?

it took a little finagling but I got it to work - too bad bungie named many of their files strangely, so it's somewhat difficult to figure out what the specific files are.

I also now remember how nice Myth II was for allowing you to easily change unit facing.

Yeah, inevitably I just played The Fallen Levels for Myth 2 after a certain point. It would be perfect if I could figure out how to install the interface mod.

Huh, I'd never heard of Project Magma before. I might have to install the OS X patch for TFL, thanks for stealing my weekend. tongue.gif
