R there any sequels to the game?

And, are they free?

You're new to the internet, aren't you? Duke Nukem 4, aka Duke Nukem Forever has been in production since WWII and has an expected release date of somewhere around the 25th century, just after the return of Jesus and just before England win another cricket match against Australia.

Funnily enough though, it's made a reappearance in recent days, 10 years after it was first announced (scarily). I remember seeing screenshots for this around the end of 1997, looks a bit different now though. Hail to the king, baby.

Probably by the time EV: Nova takes place. Or when we cut Edwards' network connection off again. biggrin.gif

Read and learn, my children.

If Forever DOES eventually get released, I hope it makes it to the Wii. I just hope this ten-year wait isn't sorely disappointing.

Moreover, I hope they provide a reason WHY it took so dang long to get the flippin' game to us.

This would be better served by being on Just Games, rather than Just Tech. Moving...

I bet it's probably going to be available only on the Genesis or N64. biggrin.gif

Duke Nukem Forever seems to be in a race with starcraft 2 for most awaited sequel. So far Nukem is winning.

On the plus side, that means there's still a chance it could be on the Wii. wink.gif

I don't think there is one (it's a comparison of how the world has developed since DNF first went into production).

I think it will live up the other use of that acronym though, somehow.

That's an awesome link, Cham. I never realized just how much time has gone by until I looked at the link.

What other wonderment will we experience before it's released? Only time will tell... laugh.gif

"Steve Jobs was still running NeXT when Duke Nukem Forever was announced."

Damn.

Things that have taken less time:

"The United States' entire program to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's challenge to the landing."

Wow.

Disasters:

* There have been 125 tropical cyclones. 73 hurricans in the Atlantic, 52 typhoons in the Pacific.
* There have been over 20 death-toll producing tornado outbreaks in the United States.
* Over 50 major earthquakes have shaken the world, which have shortened the Earth day by 2.68 microseconds.

Coincidence? I don't think so!

Speaking of Duke Nukem, has anyone ever found a soundboard with all the quotes from 3D, (not unlike the ones on eBaums's)? What I wouldn't give to hear "It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and I'm all outta gum" just one more time.
