Hey, does anyone know of companies that make high quality good games that are for online registration, instead of ordering them?*
Thanx a bunch.

For Mac or Windows? If your are looking for Mac games, anything in Apple's "downloads" area, under games and called "Shareware" is the same system as Ambrosia, and will be by a company, sometimes one you end up liking. The obvious advantage being that you can try it out, so if you find that the game is bad, no loss.

Good roleplaying games. I can recommend Blades of Avernum and Avernum 3 (as I've played them a lot, and I think 1 and 2 are not OSX native)

Unfortunatly, apple's download section isn't organizable, meaning I can't filter out just the shareware, if you could reccommend anything I'd appreciate it, I'm not into the spiderweb games, I really like ev nova, pillars of garendall, and darwinia. Thanx a bunch.

You could always check out
http://www.abandonia.comIf you're on the Mac, you'll have to download DosBOX from their programs section, but it'll play many of the games on the site (and they have a ton of old games, and some not so old ones).
