Basically I'm trying to find the biggest (GB-wise) game ever. So far, it's Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe (15 GB) I was just wondering if anyone else knew of any games.
Divals the Conqueror
Diablo II.

Like ZOMG it came on four disks!

Riven came on 5 =O

Disks don't mean anything. For all we know there's only a few bytes of data on each one!

Indeed, I think that counts as pretty ######ing big.

You could, technically, consider the expansion as requiring five discs, since you had to install the base game first...

X-Plane, with the global scenery package. 8 dual layer DVDs, all nearly completely full. It takes around 60 gigs.

Jesus, the thing is huge. I guess flight sims are just really big... blink.gif

A 15-gig game would take about two thirds of my root partition...

Now my hard drive hurts.
Foxwolf
Hmm 60 gigs, seeing as my comp runs 480 gigs (20 taken up) that would leave me at...400 gigs!

Good freaking Lord. 60 gigs is huge!!! More than my poor little laptop can handle.

The scenery looks quite nice, I feel. The break between plane and scene is a little jarring, though.

Now, if a generator or battery breaks, you can turn off that system (and lose the voltage to that bus and all the systems on that bus)

I wonder how often this happens.

And, yeah. That's excessive for me.

Now that I think about it, Battle for Middle Earth II came with 6 cd's. Plus the ones from the Rise of the Witch King: That's a lot of data.

the number of disks does not equalt the ammount of space required for the game. HL2 game on six disks, and installed to only about six gigs, but i have seen games on two or three disls install to fifteen or twenty gigs. most of the actual space on an install disk anymore is filled with encryption crap to make it harder to duplicate the disk.
Lizard
Krieger.

Whoa. 97K. I don't think I have enough space for that one.

Hehe . . . 60gb. I've got over 100GB (only about a 1/3 of the size of my music library) with all the custom scenery and planes I've got on my install.

WoW is around 10gigs... That's the largest I have.
