Ok, so I want to create very small sized tutorials and I capture at a small frame rate and at a reasonable size so that I can read text on screens that often show it during the tutorial The files are nice and small. I bring the QT file into FCP Studio and of course the file is now going to have to be rendered to a completely different encoding and I will lose the small file size no matter what.

This is the same problem with virtually all capture programs. How can I edit the captured screens without losing the extreme compression?

Hello GGP,
If possible, I would suggest using QuickTime Pro to do your basic editing. If you need soemthing more advanced like Final Cut Pro, youmay want to export from Snapz using a more lossless compression, and let Final Cut Pro handle the compression. You should have the similar export abilities in Snapz. Hope this helps smile.gif
