I've searched through the board but couldn't find a topic for this. Is there anyway to assign a keyboard shortcut for a single task? Like F12 takes a screenshot of the current active window and auto saves the file to the desktop, or the default folder?

Hello MonkeyHammer,
It sounds like you're looking for some sort of automation or scripting. The current version of Snapz doesn't really offer much there. This is on the feature request for the next version. Best of luck to you smile.gif

Awesome.. during the day I use windows and have a tool that does just that, I hit a short cut key and it saves the current active window way automagically, which makes taking multiple screen shots in a short amount of time really easy. And no, I do not want video., but I have limited time to grab the data and still want the screen to refresh. Thanks for adding something like this to the 'requested features' bin.

Other than driving you crazy making Automator workflows work correctly, I have one idea. A rather pricey one.QuickKeys X 3 Check it out and get the "office" to spring for it, if possible. It Says 30 day demo. But ....
