Until this past weekend, my iPhone battery life was great; I'd never get down to even 50% capacity, even on a day when I used my iPhone a lot (for me). Since roughly the time I first used iToner, my iPhone battery has been going down into the red zone every day, even on days during which I've hardly used my phone. I cannot verify scientifically that this is due to iToner, but is it possible that something iToner does causes the phone to use its processor less efficiently? I'm not leveling an accusation here, merely trying to get to the bottom of the issue. Is there a way to get my phone to be exactly as if I had never used iToner, in order to test the theory that iToner might have anything to do with my battery issue? If I remove all iToner ringtones from my phone using iToner itself, will that do it? Or will it leave some trace?

Hello makuser,
I'd venture to say the two are unrelated as all iToner is doing is transferring the songs over to your iPhone and nothing in the OS is tampered with. Launch iToner and remove all your ringtones. There's not really any traces to be removed. Please keep us posted!

I haven't noticed any effect on battery life related to the usage of iToner. As Evan stated this is unrelated. The things that seem to affect the battery life on my iPhone the most are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. I was really surprised how much faster the battery level dropped on my phone when I turned on bluetooth.

In my case, Bluetooth is off. (Wi-Fi is on, but it was also on during the first month that I owned my iPhone, and I never had battery life issues like this.) However, I restored my iPhone to factory settings, and the battery issue persists, so I concur that iToner had nothing to do with this issue, and its sudden onset on the same day that I first used iToner seems to have been entirely a coincidence. I'll be calling AppleCare about my battery life issue.

i actually had battery issues as well. i'm not saying it was iToner's fault for SURE, but after reading this post, i think it might be more than a coincidence. i installed iToner 2 weeks ago after having my iPhone for about a week and added a few custom ringtones of audio files i had ripped from movies. well everything was going great for a few days and then i may have gotten a little carried away by loading up like 15-20 ringtones additional via iToner. well as soon as i did that, i noticed a HUGE difference in my battery life. I would lose power overnight even though i wasn't using the phone. i thought about how i loaded up so many ringtones and that it might be effecting the battery for some reason and deleted all but 5 of the ringtones through iToner. no change. my battery was still losing power at a very quick rate. i had to take my iPhone to the apple store and they told me to "do a restore through iTunes since battery life is often related to software issues". after the restore, still no change so i thought it must have been the phone not the iToner software, but then i read this post. i think it's a pretty big coincidence that both i and someone else seemed to have this exact same problem. is it possible that you can only load up a certain ammount of ringtones before it effects the software of the phone? i ended up having to get a new iPhone and i'm going to give it a week or two before i use iToner again to test the battery life. i haven't given up on iToner, but if battery life becomes an issue again after i re-use iToner, i will report it and someone should take note of it.
