I am using iToner 1.0.2, iTunes 7.4.2, and iPhone firmware 1.1.1.

After installing iToner, I drag the ringtones into the iToner application and click the sync button. iToner shows that it is uploading the ringtones. When it is finished, the ringtones are listed in the iToner application as being on the iPhone. Similarly, if I delete the ringtones from iToner and click the sync button, iToner shows that the files are being removed from the iPhone. When the process is complete, the files no longer appear in the iToner display.

However, at no time do the ringtones appear in the iPhone ringtone list. I have checked both under the settings->sounds->ringtone option and through the phone->contacts->contact->ringtone option. While iToner believes that the files have been uploaded, the iPhone is blissfully unaware of their presence.

Any suggestions.

Thanks,

I am having a similar problem. Just got the iPhone today and was trying to put a ringtone on it. Using iToner 1.0.2, iTunes 7.4.2, iPhone 1.1.1. Ringtones do not appear on the iPhone after syncing. Bundle is in the plugin directory and ringtone syncing is disabled in iTunes. I found that if I changed the name of my AAC ringtone to .m4r extension it would show up on the iPhone but it did not have any sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

That's the same issue I am having. I have read on other threats that people are using iToner with no problem, but I can't seem to get it working. Ringtones with an .mp3 extension won't even show up on my iPhone, while ringtones with m4r extension will, but no sound. Awaiting an answer eagerly!!

Hopefully you are all aware of the fact that the iPhone 1.1.1 has disabled iToner. We're working on a solution for it.
