Warlord Mike
Hey, guys.

Well, I'm trying out Marathon Rubicon, one of the TCs that was made for the game, but I've hit a very bad spot. Every time I go to the next level, the right half of the screen just goes away! What's up?!?

I found this in the log, which may or may not be related to what's going on...

CODE

while opening resource file C:\Program Files\Bungie\marathonRubiconX\Rubicon X ƒ\Prefs\Michael Thompson\Saved Games\Mikey's Travels (resource_manager.cpp:338)
file's resource header corrupt (resource_manager.cpp:227)
Error at line 10: element of type opengl has no child of type landscapes (XML_DataBlock.cpp:118)
Error at line 11: element of type opengl has no child of type landscape (XML_DataBlock.cpp:118)

And this was in the folder stderr:
CODE
libpng warning: Ignoring gAMA chunk with gamma=0
libpng warning: Invalid cHRM white point

Could someone shed any light on what may be causing this problem? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT: It appears that the problem only occurs when I use OpenGL. Could this mean that it's broken or non-existent?
Captain Bob
You're playing on Windows so I can't pinpoint your problem, but it looks like your saved game file may be damaged. Do you by any chance see a warning "The scenario file that this saved game was from cannot be found. When you switch levels you will revert to the default map"? Here's things to try:
- re-download rubicon. Make sure you're running the latest stable version
- download the latest release of Aleph One. Hopefully between the two of them, one version will work. The A1 devs do a good job of maintaining backwards compatibility
- verify that Aleph One works okay with another scenario
- re-post your problem to the Aleph One developer's list
Warlord Mike
Okay, I put it on their list. Now I just wait around, essentially?
Captain Bob
Well, yes. What you're doing is sending a mass email to all the Aleph One people who've signed up to receive the messages. You'll want to sign up, yourself, so you can see their reply.
