When trying to record a series of songs, there's a 3-second blank "silence" between.

I'd like to automate breaking the songs into individual files rather than gruelling through the larger sound file looking for the breaks for splitting.

Ideas?

(Wanted to do it with WireTap Pro, but couldn't)

You can do this:
1. Bring up the WTS preferences.
2. Select Split: On Silence.
3. Click the Configure... button. Set the duration and level of silence that you want to split on.

Now your recordings will split automatically. It can be a little bit tricky to get the settings just right for detecting the silence.
