Full Version: I'm Still Annoyed - Bowser's Song
Ambrosia Software Web Board > General Interest > Just Games
SoItBegins
In the Mario games, we always see Mario as the hero, with Bowser as (usually) the evil villain. This is Bowser singing what he feels about that. It's surprisingly eloquent for what's basically a large, spiky turtle.

I'm Still Annoyed - Bowser's Song

This one had me laughing my rear off. Take a listen!

Yeah, I heard that yesterday. Its pretty funny.

Apparently, its actually a parody of a certain bonus song ("I'm still alive") from Valve's game Portal.
The Journalist
I've always wondered what Bowser felt about...everything. Kinda.

This song is brilliant.

For those who're interested, the Portal song can be heard here, with an accompanying flash animation:

I was sorta disappointed with Bowser's voice -- the creator obviously knew about voice editing, but wrongly thought Bowser's voice range was about a high baritone. He sorta reminded me of the announcer from PowerThirst.

Plus the parody is meh.
JoshTigerheart
It was... alright. Bowser's voice was way too high pitch. Needed to me much lower and more... growlish. (Is that a word?) The only thing that really amused me much was the part about setting wildlife on fire.
Talon Karrde
meh.
Burrito Loco
I liked Bowser's voice. It fit with the tone of the song.

I always figured Mario was a dick.

Like Jerry the Mouse or that damned Roadrunner.

I figured out that Jerry was evil back when I used to watch that. Never figured out how Roadrunner might be evil. Unless I missed something, it's just some bird trying to evade the same...whatever it was.

There is a vid that gives "evidence" that Mario is commie propaganda.

Strange, yet...strange. I guess. Lots of other mario vids on that page.

The director of that documentary, though his work is clearly of Oscar quality, misses the main point, which is that Luigi is an enviro-fascist and a drug addict. Maybe he tries to convince himself that those "Super Mushrooms" make him damn near invincible, but deep in his heart he knows they're a sham. And green? He reeks of the Nature Industry. The people who don't pick that up from Super Mario Brothers are the same ones as don't pick up on the obvious drug references in "With a Little Help From my Friends."

Luigi watches from afar, single and alone, whilst Mario bangs the Princess, the reason both of them exist, and revels in the praise and worship of citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Yup, Mario is totally a dick.

Why would you parody the Portal song? It's great enough as it is. I don't think you could parody a song that's already humorous...but I guess if I listened to the linked song then maybe I'd decide either way.

How can you not pick up on that? I mean he says "I get high with a little help from my friends." Now, he could be talking about mountain climbing but England isn't exactly known for its lofty peaks.

If you'll read my post, you'll note that I was trying to point out how obvious Luigi's ties to Big Environment and illicit drugs were.

Indeed, how can you not pick up on that?

I mean, come on.

I know. I was helping explain the reference to the uncultured schmucks who didn't know what you were referring to. To what you were referring.

It felt like it ought to be a They Might Be Giants song.

I don't listen to Beatles music. In fact, I don't listen to much music at all. All I know about the Beatles is that some of them are dead, some of them hate each other, and they think everyone lives in a yellow submarine.

I don't listen to music either. There is a few songs that I do listen to though. High School Musical stuff, I like that stuff, though a lot of people don't, but only listen to it when my brother plays it since I don't really care to listen to music all that much, and Dragostea Din tei/Numa Numa. I listen to that a lot on youtube and Itunes. Mostly Youtube, cuz that's free, and they have the english version.

Yes it was, yes it does, yes it is, I didn't listen to the whole thing, I didn't think his voice was that bad. It could have been better, but the guy singing's not the point. It's what he's singing.
Rickton
How can you not listen to music? That's inhuman.
G-Spark
I got an ipod for christmas if that helps. I don't plan on putting anything on it though. I may but...

EDIT:They need to change how Bowser sings "I'm still annoyed" It's so well, annoying.

EDIT2:

I spend my time on web-boards, Youtube, plug-ins, and video games. Weird Al songs, I might go out of my way to listen to, but I find most music less entertaining than what I've listed.

Can we really blame him for not caring about music?

G-Spark
Yes, yes you could, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll listen. laugh.gif
