Full Version: Volume levels on playback with WireTap Studio

I am comparing WireTap Studio to AHP. I have some some sound files that I pulled from a workout DVD. The ones I pulled from the other program came through noticeably louder and clearer which is helpful for someone like myself who is hard of hearing.

Now I like the features of WTS better. From reading other posts it seems that I can get louder output from WTS by turning the volume up at the source of the recording, in this case OS X’s DVD Player. Is this the best way to accomplish this? If not what is? Also what would be the best way to adjust the volume for things that I have already captured with WTS?

Hello B Lynn,
If you have a recording already, you can use the normalizer sliders to increase the volume. If you need to go further, you can try using the AUDynamicsProcessor in the effects panel. If you want your recording to be louder from DVD Player, then simply increase that application's volume level prior to recording. Hope this helps smile.gif

Also, be sure that the volume of the application you are recording (DVD Player in this case) is set to maximum.
