Now that Apple has made an official "free" method of creating iPhone ringtones via Garageband 4.1.1, will this mean an end to the problems with iPhone updates breaking iToner?

Also, are you planning to add the ability to iToner to allow a portion of an existing audio file to be converted into a ringtone? If I need to get another tool to break out a <= 40sec clip of a song for use as a ringtone, I'll just use GarageBand. But if iToner provided a simple and clean method of doing this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
