Full Version: What Online Games do YOU play?
Ambrosia Software Web Board > General Interest > Just Games
EV Wolf
Because the previous online game poll was getting out of hand, I'm making a new one with more choices.
- "MMORPG's" only, no Halo 3 or other "online multiplayer" games
- I was only able to fit in the top 20, so no complaining. ENJOY laugh.gif

I currently play Puzzle Pirates (as Mcknightt), I used to play Runescape, and I tried playing LOTR online.

I'm never... EVER going to even try playing WOW. I've made it so that in my mind, I "hate" the game and everything about it, just to keep me from trying it, getting hooked, and ruining my life tongue.gif

What games do YOU play, and if you'd like, post your in-game name!

YOU STILL FORGOT XENOS!
JoshTigerheart
Then shouldn't this be "What MMO do you play" instead?
G-Spark
Thanks for fixing my list. I don't even know 20 MMORPGs. I'm probably not the one who should've made the poll earlier then.
SoItBegins
I don't play any of those, or any other MMO.

I don't even know what Xenos is, it wasn't on the Wikipedia list, of course neither was Puzzle Pirates. I truly WAS going to put it as one of the options, but I forgot at the last second, sorry... sad.gif
gray_shirt_ninja
Xenos (+)
Eji1700
Still RF online.
GutlessWonder
Oh, hey, I didn't even notice Puzzle Pirates at first. I play that! happy.gif
EV Wolf
Really? Yay someone actually plays! laugh.gif Who's your main pirate?

Please tell me Xenos isn't just an EV plug with an online high scores list, cause that WAY doesn't count. And even if it isn't, it would hardly make the top 100 MMO's let alone the top 20.

(I'm definately getting a feel for those who have intelligence in these forums and those who, well... don't. rolleyes.gif)

Well grayshirt did post a link.
Xenos

Nephilim, on the Sage Ocean. Captain of Guilty Light

Here's my pirate page:

And... still no one seems to recognize MUDs...

Okay seriously, a link to a forums and high scores list does me no good. (although it does show me the "magnitude" of the game tongue.gif )
Unless you have screenshots at the least, I'm still going to have no clue what it is.

(As I look back through member avatars full of Xenos links, I suddenly feel a nervous of being mugged in an alley somewhere, and I've only been on the boards for about a week... YAY ME!)

True, I've been feeling like we need to put up a sort of tour thing. I mean, I never sign up for a game unless it shows me what it's all about beforehand.
Although on the other hand you said you got your list off of Wikipedia. Do you have a clue what all of those are?
mrxak
Where's my "None" option? I've played a couple of those at some point, but I've sworn off paid MMOs for good.
Celestial Storm
WoW, for over two years now.

I've recently tried the mac trial of EVE and I was somewhat disappointed. In the end I 'got it' somewhat, but I still think it's not really the game for me. Especially the fact that non-warp flight can only be done by using the mouse. Not a fan of the interface, as well.. although I got somewhat used to it.
Lit Nerd
WoW. 70 Human Mage, 63 Draenei Shaman.

EVE doesn't really come into its own until you go out to 0.0 and get ganked a few times. The actual game itself is not that fun to play, so you have to make the most of its intellectual pleasures: lawless player-controlled territory, free pvp, and player-driven economy. Actual pvp is absolutely heart-pounding, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Also, the Mac version is currently a broken POS that I can't recommend to anyone until they fix the constant crashing, memory leaks, voice chat and some other things.
mrxak
I'm pretty sure the constant crashing and memory leaks were issues with the windows version too.
darth_vader
I kind of wanted to vote for all of them, but I just can't bring myself to even imply that would ever actually pay for World of Warcraft, so none.

Hmm, I've actually had 100% stability in Boot Camp. In contrast, after a couple hours of EVE-ing in OS X, after exiting the game entire OS had to be reloaded out of virtual memory (I have 2 GB of RAM!) and then all my programs, including the Finder, kept crashing until I rebooted. If the Windows situation is bad, I don't even know what adjective to use to describe how it is on a Mac.
Talon Karrde
Bollocks, Windows EVE client is fine. They need to get the bugs out of the OSX/Linux versions.

I love EVE, it's a shame I don't have a Windows PC or Intel based Mac. I'm still going to activate the account after new years though... get a friend to train the skills and log in from time to time when I'm having a relaxed gaming evening at a friends place or such. Once you "get" the market the game gets much easier.

DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Double post

The only online game I play is this one. tongue.gif
