In older versions of WireTap, there was a visual indicator that recording was in progress that showed on the icon itself, without the app being visible onscreen. This allowed me to verify the status quickly when I was working in another app. It may have even been on the controller itself. I find that I miss that in WTS. I can't find any indication of status without looking at the scheduled recording sessions window, requiring me to leave other work to bring that up. If I'm not overlooking something, that's a feature I'd really love to see reinstated.

Hello Jonathan,
WireTap Studio will display an "ON AIR" sign over its dock icon that flashes on and off. If you dock is hidden you won't see this though.

As you noticed, this doesn't apply for sessions. It's been discussed here and adding it has been added to the feature request list. Expect to see the change in an update. Hope this helps
