I suppose for the EV:Nova fans that Northstar would be more interesting. the game is in the works and chatting with the devs shows a lot of promise. I'ts like EV:Nova only in 3d..bigger..better.

It will be a space adventure - Han Solo type. Fights in space and on planets as you explore, smuggle and generally make a living with your small and faithful crew.

The other game, SOTS (and it's expansion Born of Blood) is a 4X space empire management game (altough it focuses mostly around the fighting). Beautiful 3D. Real physics. REAL hit calculations. the ship target the very polygon you clicked on the enemy ship (thus you can target turrets or sections specificly).
Ship are made out of a command, mission and engine section and then equipped with weapons for a LOT of different ships and posibilites.
Each race is totally uniqe - from ther ship designs, tech preferences to culture and they very WAY they play.
Different propulsions, different tactics, different designs mean completely different strategies for each race! Beautiful. wink.gif

If he's getting rewards for posting about this game all over the internet, that's basically the same thing as being paid to spam, right?

No offense, TrashMan, but I do not think that spamming other web boards was what was intended by the original post regarding point gathering. In fact, I think that it was pretty much ruled out. I understand that you are a fan of the game. Even so, this post looks like pure spam to me, complete with the fact that you were attempting to get a reward for posting it.
