Hi, I was just trying to change my avatar to a 100x100 pixel, 24 KB png image and got an error page when I clicked "upload",

Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:

The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem"

And now it's taken away my avatar entirely. It won't even let me put back my old avatar, a 64x64 pixel, 4 KB png. Help?

It's not stated in the upload specifications, but there's a 0.8-Qaanol awsomosity limit to avatar uploads. Since yours weighs in at an even 1.0, you've exceeded that limit, and your avatar is non-uploadable right off the bat. :/

Let's see if I can put up an avatar...

Weird. I just had a member contact me with what appears to be this exact problem.

I tried a long time ago.. failed... gave up. And that is the story of why I don't have an avatar .

I usually look for my Avatar to see where I last posted, and so I can't wait until Ambrosia HQ reads this thread tomorrow.

EDIT: I can't see my friends because of an IPS Driver Error. That can't be good.

I can’t upload an avatar either.

I can't upload any attachments in either Firefox or Safari- I get an error of "You did not select a file to upload. I have plenty of space left, and the files are types that I've uploaded in the past (zip, jpeg).
