I don't know how many of you have a Wii but I feel compelled to make this topic.
If you want to share your Wii's ID#, post it here. I need to add some people to my friend list. My # is 3060 8923 4320 1336

This number is the same for Corruption, right? I have some friend vouchers I need to trade.
Edit: Added yours.

How do I find this #, I seem to be unable to find it.

Go to messages, send message, and then your address book. Not the most intuitively placed location, I'll admit.

Posted from my wii as well with the opera browser which despite a few problems (only flash 7?) is really rather nifty

Edit: Also my only online game is Mario Strikers Charged Football and I'm not that great so add me if you want some easy wins.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is going to be the big game online for the Wii, at least for me.
gray_shirt_ninja
Feb 6 2008, 01:51 PM
I don't have any online games at the moment. Just Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario. And Mario Brothers 3. Old school fun!
Also, added Manta & egroeg.
JoshTigerheart
Feb 6 2008, 03:19 PM
Added Manta and egreog. The only game I have with online connectivity right now is Metroid Prime 3. If anyone has that and has friend vouchers to trade, I got a bunch of them, more than enough to than you need to unlock everything.
Though I do plan to have Brawl on release. Hopefully my campus network will be kind enough to let me play online. It does let me do D2, but not Starcraft.
Oh, by the way, don't be surprised if some strange Miis come wandering into your Mii Parade from my console...

I've got a healthy collection of oddball Miis as well... once I get home, I'll look up my number and add everyone else's.

Aww, I thought this topic was for people want to share their wiis with others who don't have one yet.

Every store in the three towns I regularly visit is always sold out they day they get their shipments. I'd buy a Wii if I could find one (even my wife, who doesn't play videogames, really wants one). Ah well.

I picked mine up used from my local GameStop about two months before Christmas. Saved about $30, but make sure they give you the copy of Wii Sports that comes with it.

Try waking up on Sunday morning and checking the game stores. That is the best way to try to find a Wii currently.
JoshTigerheart
Feb 6 2008, 07:13 PM
I got mine at launch and surprisingly had no trouble getting it. Just went to the store 30 minutes before they opened, was number 7 in line. The store had 24 units, but only about 15 or so showed up before opening. Everyone went everywhere else. There had been people waiting outside for the same store since the day before, however.
I guess I got lucky.
Maybe you can order one online?
gray_shirt_ninja

I got mine by going to GameCrazy an hour before it opened on Black Friday. I was third in line.

Online the only options are to pay 400-500 for a wii and a bundle of preselected games. And I've tried going different days of the week, but working as I do I don't have time to literally camp out for a new shipment. Most stores around here don't even keep a place on their shelves for a wii because of all of the other people who are camping out that come in pretty much as their trucks are unloading and get one as soon as they can. It doesn't help that I'm in the middle of the US away from any major (read pop.>1 million) cities. I'm not too worried, because I know I'll get one eventually, it just sucks having to wait. It just amazes me when I can find pretty much everything else (including xbox 360 elites, which I've heard are rare, but I dunno), but I've never actually seen a wii in a box and ready to be sold.
I have seen a box for a wii, at the local mall's GameStop (maybe it was an EB, or are they they same now? whatever, anyways)...they just had a couple boxes on the wall, no sign saying that they
were just the boxes, so I had to ask an employee about it and he was extremely rude in his reply. Being in customer service for a living I don't think I'd buy a wii at that store even if I could at this point...I doubt I'll ever step inside again.

Do any of you have travel enabled on your Mii Parade? Or does it just take a long time for Miis to come wandering onto your console? I was expecting to find at least a couple lurking about in my Mii Parade.
Manta
Feb 7 2008, 09:36 PM
I just enabled mingling, but I don't know how to make miis go the the parade area. I'll try sending you a mii to see if it shows up on the parade area. Warning: most of the miis on my console are of people in my dorm or at USM.
JoshTigerheart
Feb 8 2008, 12:14 AM
When you have mingling enabled, they go to the parade on their own randomly. When you send someone a Mii, it goes straight to the plaza.
Half of my Miis I downloaded off the Check Mii Out Channel, so I can't set them to mingle. So any Miis that appear in your parade were made by me... or in rare cases, on of mine or my brother's friends.
Edit: By the way, I haven't gotten your Mii yet, probably because my dorm connection is evil. But I'll send you one in return.

Just checked MP3, no separate friend codes. So anyone I add will appear for MP3 (and in gray if they don't have save data). I have 20 friend vouchers I can trade, which is more than enough for anyone to unlock everything in the game. If anyone else has this game and hasn't put your friend code in, DO IT! I want green tokens!

Those of you added might have noticed you got a Mii from me recently. That's the one I usually use for myself. If you don't mind, send me whichever one you use for yourself so that way I can have it associated with your name in the address book.

Well, considering that after you beat the Champion at about 1,500 points or so and every fight after that would be him repeatedly, 3,000 points simply means you play too much boxing.

I was aware of that delay when I posted that. The delay happened before the japanese release and I preordered once the date was locked in by the japanese release. You need not assume that I do not pay attention to the games that I am talking about.

Well...my wife finally got to wanting a wii too much...so we ordered a package from wal-mart online that came with a bunch of stuff (though only Wii Sports and Super Mario Galaxy came with the Wii package today, the rest is coming in a few days).
As soon as I can pry her away from it I'll look up my code and get around to adding everyone.

I've been waffling on BWII because of the strategy/command elements. I hate babysitting and commanding units at the same time I'm trying to play. I don't much care for RTS games like C&C or Star Craft either. I do very much like blowing stuff up.

The only exception to the above is Bungie's Myth, which succeeded at the whole playability thing where all other RTS's fail.

Whenever I get the chance to bring my Wii into an online-gaming friendly area (aka a wireless network that would allow it to connect), I'll get my Brawl code then.
Metroid Prime 3, by the way, uses the console's base code.

I will say that, despite my usual distaste for Microsoft products and usual adoration for Nintendo products, XBox live is a much better online experience. Unfortunately, you have to pay for that experience whereas the vastly inferior Nintendo WFC is completely free.
