FINALLY! Now, I assume that since a topic hasn't been made yet, that everyone who cares about it is too busy to hang around these parts just talking about it. But whenever someone gets a free minute, I'd like to hear what you think of the game.
I don't personally own a Wii, but having played the game once - I'm hooked already. There are so many differences from SSBM, (except Brinstar... WHY?) I think I may have to buy a Wii now.
Nintendo's done it again, Folks!

I have a friend who played it and said, "It wasn't as good as I thought it would be."
But I honestly don't know how you could even make Melee much better, other than putting Master Chief in it . It just never gets old and never runs out of awesomeness.
I actually was disappointed that Master Chief wasn't in Brawl. I don't know whether to be mad at Nintendo, or Bungie.

The game is far superior in many ways. If nothing else but for new characters and levels. But the "Special Smash" is really an awesome feature too.

I'm playing it on thursday and I'd buy it myself if I thought I could get a hold of a copy.

I own a copy and have been playing nearly nonstop for the last couple of days. The only breaks were for sleeping and eating. Finally I've unlocked every character and every level. A most excellent game, particularly the single player, new characters, and the level creator.

I'll have to pick it up for the Wii we have. Looks pretty cool, and I really enjoyed SSBM.

I've played this game every day since the launch so far (and likely will every day for the immediately forseeable future). It's fantastic. There's a Just Games topic about it already so I won't reiterate everything but...suffice to say, it's a great followup to a practially untoppable game.

I'm still waiting to find a Wii (damn highly populated areas), but luckily one of my friends has a copy so I'll head on over and give it a shot this weekend. I miss playing melee, I logged over 700 hours back when my friends and I played.

I was worried and thought this might be another one of those threads, but then I realized I wasn't in the BnB.
Seriously, though, I'm really looking forward to getting a chance to play this. I'm horrible at SSB, but they're so much fun to play.

Depends what kind of dorm room too. If you're in the Honors dorms - yes, it's probably your internet. Everyone else in the place is trying to do the same thing as you

I can't even get a match going on the NWC yet. A friend was able to connect to another friend's Wii with it but the game lagged badly. Clearly there's some work to be done on Brawl's interwebbyness.

Super Smash Brothers: Brawl.
It's the continuation of the SSB series.
Super Smash Brothers N64 < Super Smash Brothers Melee GC < Super Smash Brothers Brawl Wii

I imported a Japanese Wii and a Japanese copy of Brawl a month or so ago, or whenever it was released. Me and my friends have played it solidly since!
My favourite character is Ike. He seemed the natural progression for me (I used to favour Roy). His speed took some getting used to, but I just love his power!
I'd be up for a WiFi game with someone, I might need walking through the set up though, my Japanese isn't brilliant!
The Journalist

Ike is quite awesome....however, I'm finding myself getting quite good as Olimar. Easily the most hilarious two things in the game: Pikachu's down-taunt being spammed, and its "crouch walk" going backwards.

Olimar has, in my opinion, the most devastating of al the final smash attacks. Massive area damage, almost certain insta-kill on any medium or small course. His awful attacks and stupid style, however, make it very hard for me to use him!

His FS is indeed quite awesome-as far as I've been able to tell, only ROB(and possibly Kirby?) can avoid it. However I find his attacks to be quite powerful-and have rediculous range in some cases-for such a tiny character. His throws are great too-and it's very easy to get grabs as him, as they're quick and have good range. But it can certainly be annoying have to constantly get more Pikmin...
