Full Version: Question about ATT

What's the most serious discussion that has ever gone on here? I'm just curious.
Rickton
There have actually been quite a few.

The thing is that even the serious discussions aren't taken too seriously, unlike most other places.
Pufer
I don't know, 4th of July was pretty serious. It did end in classic ATT style though.

Destroyer E
I vote for this one.

Dammit, I just ruined it. Never mind.
dude3
Stupid Joke of the Day was serious.

Seriously hilarious.

You just made me lose the game.

Personally, I think that this is as good as it gets.
Lektor
I've had several interesting conversations on this board. I have also watched things on webcams I'm still not happy talking about to this day...
moonunit4eva
But you sure bring it up a lot wink.gif

We've missed you, Lek biggrin.gif
Lektor
I've missed you guys too smile.gif

µ! What have you been showing Lek in the webcam?
Lektor
You don't want to know, really...

moonunit4eva
Man, I wish you'd have saved that. I'd totally send it to SA wink.gif
Lektor
If only I had my copy of Snapz Pro when that happy event occurred! I think I took a screenshot, but have no idea where it is!
moonunit4eva
Well, that happens. Always the stuff that's the most fun, eh?
Lektor
Absolutely! It'll just have to live on forever in our memories!

I'd point you both to the guideline which says the message boards aren't meant to be used for two-party communication, but by doing so I'd be introducing a third party and thus invalidating the purpose of pointing to said guideline.

If I had the inclination, I'd go searching for serious discussions. I know there have been some (The starwars kid, I believe had a discussion on this fourm, about his ipod?)

It doesn't really seem like that big a problem since the posts are hours apart.
It's when they're all posting instantly after each other that things get sucky.
Lektor
Yeah, that would never happen. unsure.gif

I like waffles. You ever have a waffle? It's good. It's like a tasty waffle.
Pufer
I like waffle cones.

-Pufer
zamzx zik
Waffle cones are nice and all, but I like them better with ice cream. Covered in caramel, naturally. Among many other surgery accessories.
Pufer
Pah. I usually order a cup of ice cream and a waffle cone on the side.

I was in Cambridge last week and found an amazing waffle house on a little side street. Waffle houses being rather uncommon this side of the pond, I just had to sample their sugary goodness!

We had two delicious waffles. As you can see in this picture, I was rather excited by them!
Rickton
Waffle house is actually good over there?
Over here it's only good at like 3 in the morning, intoxication optional but preferred.
Lektor
These waffles were divine. So soft, and so nice. The only other place to find waffles is a waffle van, and those aren't so nice...
zamzx zik
My mom's waffles are better.

I don't think he's talking Waffle House (my only Waffle House story involves a family smuggling in their own sides of mustard greens to eat with their waffles at like 8 AM), more some random joint that sells waffles. I'm interested in this waffle van idea, though. I've seen a Starbucks van, but a van shuffling up and down residential streets selling waffles is something I've never considered.

That's pretty much the gist of the story. I was at the Waffle House with my grandparents (my grandfather went through a period while he was dying of cancer where the closest thing to solid food he could eat was pancakes, and he enjoyed the Waffle House for some reason) and a large African American family (mother, father, and like five kids) came in and ordered waffles all around. When they got their food, they started pulling all these little tupperware containers full of mustard greens (I suppose they could've been collard or turnip greens instead) out of a diaper bag and passed them around. It seems absurd, but they all really seemed to enjoy it as a side for their waffles.

It's not really one of my better stories.

One of the more serious discussions we've had I think involved people worried about going off to college and stuff. It's getting towards that time again now, actually.
mWalk
Have we discussed mudkips?
Jeremiah
We have now. Are they good?
Mispeled
Mudkip looks so lame after it evolves. I've always held my ground that Torchic is superior.
