There has been a fair amount of discussion on the boards about getting together and playing online games against each other every once in a while, like the ASW Starcraft League and the ASW Super Smash Brothers Brawl League.

Being that this board is maintained by a company that publishes software for the Mac, I wanted to see how many of you play the PC version of Team Fortress 2 and would be willing to play against other Ambrosia Software Web Board members. Also, anyone know of a good server to play on?

When can I play: sporadically. Weekends are good for me, as are nights.

I do play TF2 from time to time. But my computer (a low-end laptop with a very weak graphics card) hardly runs it, so that somewhat hinders my playing capabilities.

While we're on the topic of Valve games, we should definitely all get together and do some stuff with Garry's Mod sometime.

I played a lot but unistalled it when steam was giving me crap. I'll put it back on soon and start playing again. It'd be a blast to play with you guys.

GMod would be great, but I only have the free version (9.04). I will get around to shelling out all of $10 for Gmod 10 one of these days.

TF2 gets a major update. We really need like 20 people to play TF2 though. Maybe the cart mode could be fun with 6 on 6 or so.

I'll add you tonight. It will be good to have a good pyro/medic. My favorite classes are demoman and sniper. Do you think we should start an Ambrosia Steam group? Or is there already one?

The Ambrosia SW Web Board League

A recent update was made. Two new official maps (both user-made creations), new weapons and achievements for the Pyro class, and a new Meet the Team video.

w00t! I play mostly soldier and engineer with occasional appearances as heavy, demo, and medic. The pyro weapons are so uber I'm considering trying that class too.

Warning, pyro sucks pretty hard right now. Soldiers and demo man can do what a pyro does better and so very much more. You can still stomp the average player but the pro's will kill you left and right.

I roll engineer most of the time. I've been getting some pyro practice in with the arrival of the new pack.

Hence the crazy-uber new weapons.

Holy crap i totally missed that.

I finally unlocked them yesterday; they're truly amazing. The Backburner (flamethrower) is just the old one with auto-crits from behind and 50 more health to balance it out. The flare gun sets you on fire, and it's as long-ranged as the soldier's rockets but faster-moving and harder to see. The Axetinguisher is probably reasonable; it does half damage normally but crits for 120 if they're on fire.

A friend is building me a PC that can play TF2, so I'll be around probably this weekend. And I've become proficient at demoman, thanks to the ecksbawx version of the orange box. So yeah. I'm nfreader on steam (that was surprising).

Be warned that while the PC version of TF2 is much better, it's also quite different from and significantly harder than the 360 version.

Yet another update: a few new maps, a new play mode, and three new weapons for the Heavy. In addition, I am back at school and once again have regular access to a high speed Internet connection.

Well I'm in.

Though I'm still suffering from the early end of the learning curve with most of the classes. Sniper (coincidentally?) I've got down pretty well.

I just want a medic who doesn't think he's the guy with 450 health and a giant gun and goes charging in first and gets set on fire and killed. It makes my heavy rather more useless. Remember medics! Your job is to put out the heavy who is on fire because he just fought a pyro. Don't go in there yourself.
