I was curious if Ambrosia had any thoughts on developing products for other platforms, I was thinking specifically of how perfectly many of their products would fit on the XBox Live Arcade for instance (especially since it's so easy to obtain and use the XNA Studio now.
I've dropped well over 200 bucks over the years on games from Ambrosia, even repurchasing some when I lost my registration info, and frankly, I no longer use a Macintosh, and do not game on my PC at all now that I am tied to a keyboard 8 hours a day for my own career. But if some titles were available on the XBox Live Arcade (I'm thinking specifically of Avara, E.V., Apeiron, and possibly Maelstrom), I'd buy them up as fat as I could. I already purchased Crystal Quest and Marathon on my XBox, and I'd love to have a reason to continue supporting Ambrosia, who've provided myself and my family with so many hours of entertainment and pleasure throughout the years.

There've been a few topics about this from time to time. I don't speak for Ambrosia here, but I doubt it will happen due to the necessity of recoding everything to play nice with the Xbox, as well as redoing the controls so they play nice with a gamepad, or short of that, convincing Microsoft to offer mouse/keyboard support for games.
Still, it would be cool to see.

It's not nearly
that bad, I know one of the guys who ported Marathon to the XBox, and his organization also owns the rights to some other old mac games. Remapping controls from keyboard to controller isn't that difficult, and mouse/keyboard wouldn't really necessary to control any of the games I mentioned.

Darwinia is going to be released for XBLA in a while, but ASW doesn't have much to do with that.

It's not so much that it would be hard to do, but for some games there wouldn't be enough buttons on an Xbox controller to use. Of course, for others that would pose no problem at all.

There is plenty of interest at Ambrosia for developing on other platforms. However, what we don't have is enough time. We'd love to make something for the Wii at some point. Its just a matter of fitting it into our development schedules. We're all very busy with updates to existing products and new unannounced products. Either way there are plenty of things for you to look forward to.

New unannounced projects? Like Ares 2? Or Avara X?

Not in the main package, but they should be available as a free download within a week of the release.

Isn't that dangerous? If someone hurt themselves ASW could get sued big time. Maybe if you click one of those agreements saying you're 18 and stuff.
