I have been trying to save a video that I did yesterday. My hard drive ran out of space and the session was cut off. I now have to save the file so that I can continue but every time I export I get the same error message saying "an unexpected error occurred. do you wish to delete the movie, or attempt to save it later? (-7000)"

Any ideas to help. I have cleaned off a fair bit of hard dive space do I need to clean more? I've tried several different types of compression and it still wont work. I recorded video audio and mic tracks.

I'm using Snapz Pro X 2.1.2

OK noticing that this is an ongoing problem. I've restarted and now have the two files (the aiff and the .rvid) so I went to go put them back in the temp file but the folder that you guys mention over and over (Folder.503) doesn't exist in /private/var/tmp I'm using lepord any ideas?

Hello,
Sorry for your frustration. The actual location will vary sightly based on your machine and OS. For Leopard, get to the /private/var folder and start hunting. You'll want an rVid file in there so you'll know when you find it. Best way to verify this is to record a movie for a few minutes and click save. Then quickly hit Cancel, and then Save Later. This will place an rVid file to look for.

Once you find it, you can replace those files with the ones you salvaged. We can't make any promises that this will work. Make sure that the location you are trying to save it to still exists (i.e. folder or external drive). You can try disabling audio for the export to see if that helps. Unfortunately I am not aware of any movies being saved after the -7000 error.
