Full Version: SoundStudio to iTunes Process Verification

I do believe that the process is to Mark the audio file, rename the markers, Split the audio on the Markers and then export each track to iTunes using the shortcut. Is that correct, or is there a more direct method.

My only "concern" with this method is that I now have my source file and a separate track for each piece in my Library and that seems like a lot of duplication of effort (and hard drive space on an older computer) when it might be easier to just mark up my file and then be able to export only the tracks I select (somehow, during the export process perhaps). Obviously the split process knows what the markers say, as the names are applied properly in the Library.

Thanks a bunch! Great software!

Hello Marty,
I believe you are referring to WireTap Studio, correct?

The split feature does work as you described, and will split the entire track. You can make a selection (click and drag) and save out just that portion using the "Save selection as..." in the menus. A new file will be created though. If you are concerned about disk space, you can delete them after you export to iTunes. You could also opt to disable the lossless recording, though I would not recommend that. Lastly, you can move your WireTap Studio Library to an external hard drive if you'd like. Hope this helps smile.gif
