Hi folks,

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I thought I'd ask for some help. When I record my screen in the video option It's fine while I am working, BUT when the QT window pops up and i play it, there are these little lines like an etch a sketch everywhere my mouse used to be.

I'm running an 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with OSX 10.5.2

Here are my snap z pro settings:

Selection: Normal, Fixed Camera, Frame Rate:10, Scale 100%.
Mic track, Mac Track, & Cursor visible are all unchecked
Smother is unchecked

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Phil,
What compressor/codec are you using? Try changing it to H.264 in the movie saving settings. Does that help?

Hey Evan thanks for the quick response.

I can't seem to find the Codec/Compressor settings for the movies...

I open the program and go to preferences, but there is no place for me to change it...

am i missing something??

I feel like an idiot.

No problem. Once you finish the recording you are present with the Movie Saving Settings dialog box. On it you'll see sections and settings buttons for the video and audio. You want the video settings. At the top of that screen you'll see a menu titled "Compression type". Pick a H.264 from the that list. Hope this helps smile.gif
