One thing to keep in mind (Ambrosia) as you read these suggestions is that Windows users have had these features for many years. It's not typical Mac software to be so far behind in some of these basic features.
Change save location to anywhere.
hackofalltrades said this earlier, and I second it. In fact, I'm sure you [Ambrosia] have heard it many times. It's annoying to have to save files to a fixed location then move them elsewhere. Frankly it's kind of silly this isn't here.
LZW compression in TIFF; save as TIF (one F).
LZW helps a lot in big screen shots. The one-letter-F is a pain in Photoshop (which, I admit, should handle double Fs). But anyway Photoshop won't let you save as two Fs, so if Snaps simply did one F, it would save time.
Pause in Screen Recordings
Again, I second this.
Reduce to Grayscale or to Web-safe Colors
I prefer to do web-safe for lots of things, and I'd rather be able to save it immediately than have to change it in post production. Windows products do this.
Save Temp File Recordings
Seconded from hackofalltrades.
Adjustable Edges on Borders
For example, I'd like to adjust the drop shadow a bit. Windows products do this.

I wholeheartedly second timurray on a few of his suggestions:
Change save location to anywhere.
If I didn't have to use my internal drive for the initial capture file, I could use an external drive with more space (most people have more space on their external drives). If I used a drive with more free space I wouldn't be running into fragments as I am with the free space on my internal HD. 'Scuse me while I go defrag for two solid days now to record five minutes of smooth footage....
Pause in Screen Recordings
It's nerve-wracking when you are trying to make a decision as to what to do while recording, and meanwhile you know your free space is getting gobbled up. Also, what if the phone rings? I was recording gameplay the other day and just had to let the machine pick up.
Save Temp File Recordings
In case we make a bad choice encoding it when the "That's a Wrap!" box first comes up, this way we get a do-over.
Re: "Reduce to Grayscale or to Web-safe Colors" ...doesn't SP already do grayscale captures, timurray?

I wholeheartedly third timurray on a few of his suggestions, and would like to add:
Save movie as SWF/FLV
I know this has been asked for multiple times, but I think it is a must for Snapz Pro to progress.

Capture scrolling windows
Want to be able to capture entire windows as they scroll, not just the part visible on the screen. Need this for writing documentation.
HyperSnap for Windows has had this feature for years.

SnapzPro Shortcut
I want to use another shortcut than cmd shift 3.
It's impossible to show how to make a screenshot in a screen cast, because it stop it.
And if we change the shortcut to tell SnapzPro, it change MacOS X screenshot shortcut too.
Is it possible to dissociate these 2 shortcuts ??

Hello YomenoCorp,
Sorry, it is not possible to dissociate the two in the current version of Snapz. You can however use the Finder's Command-Shift-4 which may work for you. Hope this helps
