Hi
I'm new to Wiretap Studio and iToner and have been trying to make ringtones from my iTunes library. I have isolated the piece of music I require, saved it as mp3 and imported it to mi iPhone 3G as a ringtone but when it plays on the iPhone it is very quiet compared to other ringtones. I'm obviously missing something vital here but can't see what. I have tried increasing the volume on the computer before recording and have increased the volume in Wiretap using the two markers at the end of the recording but all to no avail. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Hello,
Increasing the levels ("two markers at the end") are what I would have suggested. There may be more you can do via an equalizer if you know what you are doing. Unfortunately I am not sure what to adjust there. Perhaps some users here have some suggestions?

I have heard that you can also put it in Garageband and drop alot of the bass out too.

You've got full access to a bunch of Audio Units (EQ, etc.) in WireTap Studio. I just don't know which frequencies you'd want to increase or decrease to make it better for the ringtone.

OK, guys, thanks. I'll have to play around with it.
Cheers
