I used WireTap Studio (1.0.6 (3416)) to record a podcast over Skype. The show was about 1hr and 10 minutes long. When the show was complete, I hit the "stop" button and the application started writing the file out to disk and then the WireTap application crashed.
The recording displays in the Library, but I can do nothing with it. The list shows no file format and no duration. When I attempt to edit the file, I get an "Unable to open track" error message. The file will not export to local disk, eMail or iTunes. I can export and import it as a .wtpt file (320 MB) or export it as a "lossless" .mov file (also 320 MB).
I can do nothing with either of these files. QuickTime will not open the .mov and nothing else I have will read the .wtpt file.
The data must still be in there somewhere. I don't want to loose a hour-long show.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to recover the recording from either of these files?
Thanks in advance,
-Alex
