I am having major issues since purchasing iToner 1.08 with my new iPhone. I created a ringtone playlist on iTunes. Dropped a few files into the playlist.
Loaded iToner and selected the playlist. iToner converted no problem and copied the playlist of newly created ringtones to my iPhone. Sweet!
Problem is, when I switch the iPhone off in the evening, and then switch the phone back on the next morning, all ringtones are gone!
Question - is there a known problem with 2.02 software and iToner? Why do the music files get deleted when I switch off?
I will sending the same questions to the tech support team as well, but any help would be gratefully received.
regards
Yakuzah

Hello Yakuzah,
We have had a few reports of ringtones disappearing after a sync, but we have not had any reports of ringtones disappearing after turning your device on or off. I have just tried several times myself with no problems. Is your iPhone plugged into the computer when you turn it back on?

Mine stopped working too. Had to get a new iPhone. Did restore and iToner doesn't work anymore. 1.08 and 2.02 as well.

Hello airboyd,
Can you please elaborate as to what is not working? Does iToner launch? Can you see ringtones to add in iToner? Do they sync to the iPhone...etc. Thanks

After repeated attempts I finally got the ringtone to show up on the phone but there's no audio to it.
I'm very disappointed in this software.
If I use the playlist sync, none of the ringtones show up on the phone. if I do manual I get an error and the ring tone shows up on the phone but there's no audio...

Hello,
Is your iPhone jailbroken or unlocked? Where are you manually dragging the files from? Please send the ringtone you are trying to use to Help@AmbrosiaSW.com. Thanks

Does iToner 1.08 usually work with 2.02 iPhone software? I see a couple of people have posted problems but has anyone gotten it to work without problems? I have a non-G3 iPhone and use iToner 1.08. Should I install the iPhone 2.02 software now or wait until later?

Hello Robert,
We still have not been able to replicate any of the problems after hundreds (thousands?!) of syncs. So far the issues posted seem isolated and we're still working on them. You should not have any problems with the current software. If you do, we'll do our best to help. As with all of our software, we recommend you try it out before purchasing it. Hope this helps

I'm using iToner 1.0.8 with iPhone software 2.02 with no problems (1st gen iPhone).
I, however, am still using v7.0 of iTunes and have not upgraded (which may or may not have anything to do with it)...

I see the next poster also reports no problems. I also see your main page refers to iToner 1.0.9 and iTunes 8.0. I'll upgrade first to 1.0.9 then to iTunes 8.0 then load the 2.02 iPhone software. Just in case I always keep a group in my Address Book of people who have special ringtones along with the names of their ringtones. This allows me to put the ringtones back if they get zapped.
And yes, I did try out your software before I bought it. I love having the ability to do that. I've been very happy with iToner. Thanks for your continuing support of your product.

iTunes has to be 7.4 or newer in order for the plugin to load, it specifically disables itself if you're running anything older than that.

I upgraded first to iToner 1.0.9 then to iTunes 8.0 then loaded the 2.02 iPhone software on my non-G3 iPhone.
All my ringtones remained working properly.
I notice the main page for the website states:
New in iToner 1.0.9: Support for iTunes 8.0, various bug fixes and enhancements
Perhaps you should include a reference to the iPhone software 2.02 just so people know they can update their iPhone software without worry. You could change the statement to:
New in iToner 1.0.9: Support for iTunes 8.0 and iPhone software 2.02, various bug fixes and enhancements
