Now that the new Ipod Touch comes with a speaker (albeit not spectacular), I would be interested in using it as an alarm clock. Will iToner work in allowing one to install custom alarm (ringtone) sounds so that one can choose something other than the stock five alarm sounds?

Just curious if someone has tried it.

Thanks for any input.

Hello Gilbert,
Go question...no idea! Ringtones loaded through iToner do show up as alarm options on the iPhone. Go ahead and try it, maybe there's a happy accident ! We do not have any new iPods to test this on. Try out the demo and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the reply. I have the new Touch but will have to wait til this weekend until I am back home and can load iToner on my mac (work only provides a PC). Thanks for letting me know of the demo - missed that somehow. Will report back my findings.

Thanks, Gilbert...I'm sure others would like to know also! For future reference, we have demos for all our software. This way you get to try it out and make sure it suits your needs before spending your money smile.gif

Well, I was holding out hope because after I opened my new iPod Touch 2G, I noticed that unlike the first generation Touch, it has at least 20 sounds to choose from in the Alarm section versus the five that come with the 1G Touch.

Unfortunately, iToner doesn't recognize the Touch G2. After opening iToner up, it only shows the window that states - 'iToner - No Phone Found' and 'Please plug in your iPhone'. I am assuming that it is dependent on iTunes to mount the iPhone. I wonder if there is a way to add the identifier of the Touch to iToner in addition to the iPhone. I am no programmer so I am not sure if this is even feasible.

Anyway, just wanted to report back. Would love to see Touch functionality added to iToner.

Keep up the great work.

The current release of iToner restricts its function to devices that specifically report themselves as being iPhones.

Any idea if future releases of iToner will add the iPod Touch as a recognized device? If you need a beta tester, I'd be happy to help.

Sorry, I am not aware of any such plans at this time.
