Can someone recommend decent settings for a smooth video with sound?

Hello,
Trial and error would be your best bet. There are are many variables to consider such as computer speed, memory, graphics card, source footage, dimensions of the recording and framerate. I'd suggest doing a test at 15 FPS with the H.264 compressor and make your changes accordingly. Hope this helps smile.gif

Tried that -ended up with half a gig instead, I did one ages ago that was two and a half minutes and only 11meg, I've no idea how i did that!

OK this is weird - I did a 6 second test on IMA4:1 sound and Animation and ended up with 140 meg, there's obviously something wrong somewhere...

any ideas?

just checked the properties on my 2.27 movie that was 11meg - IMA4:1 sound and Animation for video - no difference

weird

just doing another test and the 'Movie Info' as it renders appears incorrect - it says there is no compression for the audio and 50:1 for video (Its on H624) -

No one?

This is kind of rendering the software useless for me, I am a teacher trying to put together some video tutorials.

thanks
