This is only my second post here, so I feel kinda funny talking about a non-ambrosia game...but I think this game deserves attention. I also should mention up front that I run a forum for the game, but I do not make any money whatsoever from my forum, Tranquility, or any related product.

Is anyone else here playing Tranquility? It's a truly amazing (Mac-only for now) game, unlike any other. It defines a new genre of games, IMO. It also sets a VERY high standard for such a young and novel gaming idea.

It's not for everyone, it's not violent (hey I like UT too), it's not action packed, but it is a hell of a lot of fun...and amazingly engrossing.

It's difficult to describe, so instead of trying, I'll just point you to the website.

Make sure you check out "The Game" and "Technology" sections...it's pretty amazing. And by all means check out the screen shots, which includes a few Quicktime movies of the game in action.

Anyway, sorry if this looks like spam..it's not, I'm just a huge fan of the game (and Ambrosia games too!!)

No, it doesn't.

The games sounds quite interesting, and I think that I've heard of it before. I'll have to check it out...

I've played the demo. It takes only a few minutes to learn, but it's quite challenging. And I would agree that it's the most unique computer game I've ever played. My only complaint is that it's difficult to see what you are coming down on, since your view is always pretty much straight ahead.

Oh yes, and welcome to the boards, FreakTornado!

It's not the most intuitive control in the world, but you can look up and down with the up/down arrow keys. I've found that you rarely need to look up or down really rapidly (like you would in Quake), so they work pretty well.

Thanks!

Oh, and my Tranquility forum is linked from the tqworld website, under the link called "Forums"
