Full Version: Abandon ware...
Ambrosia Software Web Board > General Interest > Just Games

The "about abandon ware" topic made me think.
Here, we all "know" each other, none of us are rich and we all love games!

So, if any of us have any nice abandonware, then they should share it with the rest of us! Tell something about your game, give up your email adress and send the game to people who wants it.
I dont know if itīs permitted on these boards, but itīs worth a try.

Anyway, i have some D&D abandon games. Three to be correct. If your a fan of Dragonlance or the Forgotten Realms they are very nice. Could be they are availible somewhere on the net. If so i have never seen them.
Anyways:

Dark queen of Krynn: 2.4mb
Pools of darkness: 2.1mb
Secret of the silver blades: 1.3mb

They should work with most macs

Good idea, but I don't think it would be permitted. Many games companies are very protective of their copyrights, even if they are several years old and you cannot buy them anywhere! Anyway, if one of these companies found out people were distributing games on Ambrosia's webboards, Ambrosia could be sued (sp?) or something. Look what happened to Napster!!

Right. I see abandon ware like roms, or even warez, Even sites that say they have some of the companies permission are lying. Its a touchy subject and dont want to take the chance, Discussion about abandon ware is alright back on the earlier post, but not shareing links to said shadowy sites.
