Okay, there's this card I have that is very confusing. I just wanted to know if anyone else had a card called Serendib Efreet. If you would like me to scan a picture of it I will. Anyways, the card is green, or at least it's in the green format. But the casting cost is 2 colorless 1 blue. So it's in green format but with a blue casting cost. So... what color is it?!?! It's description is: Flying, Serendib Efreet does 1 damage to you during your upkeep. It's artist is Jesper Myrfors, and it's power/toughness is 3/4. Anyone know what the heck this is all about? Thanks in advance

arg, doesn't have a symbol. It's white bordered (or at least my copy). I'm guessing it's very early as it's pretty old looking and the artist name is in a larger font. Plus there is no copyright stuff under the artist's name like in newer ones. (this does not mean it's fake, just that's it's OLD) Anymore ideas?

Yeah, it's a mistake, and it's not the only one. The artist is actually Anson Maddocks.
It's a blue card, by the way.

It may be Beta or Alpha, i dont remember that big of a mistake on any cards from revised edition and beyond.

I'm sitting here looking at a Serendib Efreet myself. It's a blue card with a 1B2© casting cost, and it has a green border. It was a mistake in printing. The card isn't any more valuable than it should be because of the printing mistake. But, it is a good card, and it was worth almost $10 when I used to play (which was long ago), so it's probably worth a pretty penny these days.

Oh... yeah... and the mistake is in the revised edition. I don't know about the alpha, beta, or unlimited, but I know for sure that it's a blue card that appears green in revised.

Thanks! Two more questions though...

Okay I have a red card called Desert Nomads from the Arabian Knights collection. It has a casting cost of 2R with a power/toughness of 2/2. However it's description reads: Desertwalk, Desert Nomads are immune to damage done by Deserts. Is there a Desert Land in that collection? Or do they mean Plains or something. Or is it just another mistake? Artist: Christopher Rush

The second question is I have an Incinerate card that is kinda weird. The description and quote is identical to the Incinerate from the Ice Age set. Except the artwork is different, the artist and copyright is different, and the set symbol is something I've never seen. Okay, I have the three different Incinerate cards in front of me and I will describe what's on them:

Exhibit A:
Set: Ice Age
Incinerate deals 3 damage to target creature or player. No creature damaged by Incinerate can regenerate this turn.
Quote: "Yes I think 'toast' is an appropriate description." - Jaya Ballard, Task Mage
Artist: Mark Poole

Exhibit B:
Set:?????? This is my question. The set symbol looks like a M with a circle around it
Incinerate deals 3 damage to target creature or player. No creature damaged by Incinerate can regenerate this turn.
Quote: "Yes I think 'toast' is an appropriate description." - Jaya Ballard, Task Mage
Artist: Jock

Exhibit C:
Set: Mirage
Incinerate deals 3 damage to target creature or player. A creature damaged by Incinerate cannot regenerate this turn.
Quote: "Never taunt an embermage, 'What are you going to do about it?'" - Akin, seasoned askari
Artist: Brian Snoddy
Copyright: 1996 Wizards of the Coast, Inc. All rights reserved.

So what is the set of Exhibit C? Sorry for all the questions but I would really like to know!

Yes, there is a land called "Desert" and it can do damage to creatures. I forget the specifics, and the mox perl database isn't really running now, so I can't help you.

As for that incinerate.... well, incinerate is in about 20 sets, so I don't think your card is anything special. I'm not recalling any set from 1996 that looks like an "M" with a circle around it, though.
