Okay, I posted this topic a long while ago, but no one cared to help with any worthwile assistance, and with the surge of new members recently, I thought I'd give another shot, plus with some extra info.

I'm looking everywhere for an extremely rare black and white Macintosh role-playing game called Mechanical Anarchy. It was included on some early-to-mid nineties MacWorld or MacAddict sampler CDs. Also included on these CDs were demo versions of Ultima III, Marathon II, and Eat My Photons. If anyone has a copy of this classic or has some of these old samplers, or at the very least could give me some ideas on how to find it then PLEASE TELL ME! Thanks.

I know that my local Mac user group used to have a lot of old sampler CDs in their CD library. In fact, it was on one of these that I played my first Ambrosia game - Maelstrom. Anyway, I'll take a look at the next meeting, DualBlade, and I'll see what I come up with.

Thank you very much Chrestomanci. Still open to help though, anyone else have any ideas?

I tried a google search, and it turned up nothing. If google can't find it... good luck!

I've looked everywhere on the net; my only hope is that someone has it on their computer already or owns a sampler CD with it on it. It's for collector's sake, and its classic. My sampler CD with it on it has gone missing, presumed destroyed...

Is that the one where you play as a robot that's looking for it's creator? If so, I think I've got it on an old IMG somewhere, but you'd have to remind me in about ten weeks since I'm now at college and don't have my old IMG CDs with me.

YES! That's it. Hopefully this will jog somebody's memory here. And if all else fails, ten weeks, though by that time I may stop caring. But seriously, I could still use it.
