I was just wondering, in the Heroes III SoD manual, there is a price listed for Faerie and Rust Dragons. Does this mean you can purchase them somewhere? I've never even seen a Rust Dragon.

Im sure that if you had diplomacy, or somehow found a sanctuary of them, you could buy em, and rust dragons are worth it, theyre fun(but real expensive)

Oh ok....it's so hard to find those kind of creatures....I wish Mac users could use the editor.

Yes, the editor is nice I'm currently making a map now, it should prove to be very interesting once it's finished.

BTW, what is a "rust dragon"? I hope it's not anything like the Heroes II Ghost, once you bought those you were unstoppable.

In the Heroes 3 expansion sets there are a series of really badass dragons... Rust Dragons are some of these dragons. You can only get them from places you find on the map, similar to Ice/Gold golems in Heroes 3, normal.

Also, I believe Faeries can be bought at the Conflux.

So you have windows? Hmm....would you mind making a map for me? he he lol. If you seriously would, you could e-mail me. Nothing hard, just one of every town and a bunch of all the non-alligned characters (beloning to me) with an enemy in a corner somewhere just so I could mess around would make me happy.

Lol, the map I'm making now would probably be a little more challenging (read: it will be damn hard). Revolving around obtaining spell scrolls for fly, dimension door, and summon boat in order to sail across a huge underground cavern to get the grail, the extra-large map I'm making is more of an RPG-esque map than anything else. It may take a little while to finish (I've completed around 1/2 the surface and I'm up to 124 trigger events).

Given a few spare moments I'm sure I could whip something up for ya (not now I'm at work ).

Okay, I'm sending you a copy of that map you wanted, it has every town type un-upgraded with my favourite heroes for each of those types outside them. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the expansions for H3, so you'll have to do with the basic stuff.

On another note, I'm currently deciding whether or not to include a second human-playable alignment in my current map project for co-op/"deathmatch" play. What do you people suggest? It will detract slightly from the RPG aspect of my map, but it will mean the map can be completed in under 9 game months without cheating (yes it does take that long, and it takes a lot of creativity to prevent the formation of "uber-armies" where 200 Titans are a small force)

That would be fun to play, send it to me when you are finished
